This year on May 25, Memorial Day in Tecumseh will be silent. The annual parade and wreath-laying ceremony have been cancelled due to COVID-19.
“It’s kind of upsetting,” said Gary Naugle, organizer of the yearly event. “The city can’t encourage people to gather.”

School may not currently be in session, but Tecumseh Public Schools (TPS) food service hasn’t stopped feeding kids. Director Laura Pleasant and her staff of seven provide breakfast and lunch for any student who is food insecure.
