Kathy M. Christensen, age 75, of Tecumseh, passed away July 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. On December 7, 1943, she was born in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Alexander and Helen (Welshons) Clark. On October 26, 1996, she married Charles A. Christensen and he survives.

J.C. Heflin, 78, has passed away, surrounded by his family and peacefully in his sleep after a long illness, on July 10, 2019. He was born August 11, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Ind., and grew up in the Tecumseh area. J.C.

Edward William Schawitsch, 75, of Terre Haute, Indiana, formerly of Logansport passed away at 8:02 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his residence. Born on August 20, 1943 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Andrew and Laurine (Wood) Schawitsch.

Grant L. Baughey, age 74, of Tecumseh, passed away July 5, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 16, 1945 in Adrian, Mich. to Doris Shaffer.
On June 1, 1968 he married Judy L. McMichael in Tecumseh, Mich. at the First Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. B.O. Bashore.

Maurice Stuart Lathers, 85, died peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2019. Maurice, known as Stu, was born in Ann Arbor, Mich., on September 25, 1933 to Maurice Cuyler and Margaret McWilliams Lathers.

Norma “Jean” (Everett) Parrett, age 99 of Jackson, Mich., passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2019, from congestive heart failure. She was born on September 10, 1919 at the family home in Northville Township, Mich. to George D. and Blanche Everett.

Dorothy Dora (Handy) Demey, age 93, of Adrian, died February 7, 2019, at Lynwood Manor. She was born in Tecumseh to Frank and Helena (Biggins) Handy on October 22, 1925. She had been a lifetime resident of Lenawee County, living in Blissfield for 25 years and moving to Adrian in 1969.
