Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 26 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home for James Allen “Casey” Seely, 77, Tecumseh, Mich. He  died at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, in the Toledo Hospital at Toledo, Ohio. He was born July 2, 1939, to Glen D. and Kate Seely.

John August Gialanella

John August Gialanella, age 102, died peacefully at his home in Tecumseh, Mich., on December 17, 2016. John was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, who was called to serve just after Pearl Harbor was bombed where he obtained the rank of Major. He was born in Newark, N.J.

Tim E. Blumenauer, 72, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Michigan, departed this life on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Fla.  He was born on February 21, 1944 to Erwin and Thelma Blumenauer.

On December 8, 2016, Barbara Thielan Lucas entered the presence of her Lord. Born October 3, 1921, Barbara was the youngest child of Merton (Pete) Thielan and Bernice Edwards Thielan. Raised in Tecumseh, she attended Eastern Michigan University.

Anna A. Brown, age 86, of Tecumseh, died December 4, 2016. Anna was born in Tecumseh on October 24, 1930 to Alfred Lloyd and Lois C. Aebersold.

She lived in Tecumseh for most of her life, spending time in East Lansing when her husband was a student at MSU.

Mary Catherine Debbaudt Weisenfeld

Mary Catherine Debbaudt Weisenfeld, age 74, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. She was born on July 29, 1942, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Evelyn and Eugene Debbaudt.

Joanne (Bruce) Taylor, 79, of Britton, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at the Hospice of Lenawee with her loving children at her side. She was born on January 27, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Lonnie and Delphia Bryant, who were longtime residents of Tecumseh.

Jill Barton, 58, of Mansfield Center, Conn., beloved wife of Anne Bladen, died peacefully at home on Nov. 14, 2016, after living with metastatic breast cancer for over a decade. Jill was born Oct. 13, 1958, in Tecumseh, Mich., to Jerry and Connie Barton (now of Huntley, Ill).
