On Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at the Lansing Ramada Inn and Conference Center, Ken Richard, varsity coach of the Tecumseh High School girls bowling team, earned the 2019 Girls High School Bowling Coach of the Year award. It was given by the Michigan High School Coaches Association (MHSCA).

Kaitlin Knape of Tecumseh finished 37th at the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 state cross country finals at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday.
She helped the Indians finish 10th in their first appearance at the state finals as a team.

District boys soccer finals at Adrian’s field were exciting Thursday, Oct. 17 as Tecumseh came out playing very tenacious defensively, and working as hard as they have all season.

Tecumseh volleyball played at Adrian on October 22 for their annual rivalry match. Tecumseh beat Adrian in four, winning game 1, 25-22 and game 2, 25-12, losing game 3, 19-25 and winning the match with game 4, 25-21.

Last Thursday at Chelsea, Tecumseh’s Morrie Schmidt (first singles) advanced to the D3 state meet by taking the regional championship. The team finished fifth with eight points.

The Tecumseh Indians played the Chelsea Bulldogs Tuesday for senior night. Both teams put up tough defense and could not find their groove offensively.
At the end of the first quarter the Indians were sparked by junior Abbie McDowell and were up 8-7.

The Tecumseh High School (THS) Girls Basketball Team recorded two wins recently, one in a last-second victory against Southeastern Conference rival Pinckey and another against next-town rival Clinton.
