Dale Witt would like to continue serving the Raisin Charter Township community as township supervisor after spending the last four and a half years in that capacity, and will run for re-election against current township trustee Tom Hawkins in the August 4 primary election.

Two local townships have taken action to fix assessment issues that the Michigan State Tax Commission notified them of in October, more than a year after they were first discovered.

Business for Tecumseh Township is routine, with roadwork and elections taking primary focus in 2016. Township Supt. Roy Schlegel said above all, the majority of township funds will be used to upgrade the condition of the roads.
