Ryan Rhoades officially became the interim superintendent of Tecumseh Public Schools (TPS) after the board of education on Monday temporarily suspended bylaws that mandated teaching and administrative certification. The unanimous vote by the board was met with applause by most in the audience.

A retired Tecumseh teacher, counselor, past Tecumseh Education Association president and coach was appointed on Monday, June 11 to fill the vacancy on the Tecumseh Board of Education. Lori Spotts took the position left open by Dr. Edward Tritt after he resigned at the May board meeting.
