Wolakota Youth Programs Launch Event

Wolakota Youth Programs is a newly founded nonprofit in Adrian. Wolakota Youth Programs exists to create experiences for Native and non-Native youth and families to develop transformational relationships that are grounded in mutual respect and the philosophy of servant-leadership. Personal empowerment, cultural exchange, and ecotherapy are the building blocks for this transformation.

We are hosting our first ever community event. It is appropriate for all ages! We have activities included for all ages. There will be a keynote speaker, Lakota elder George Apple, from the Pine Ridge reservation from 1:00pm-2:30pm. There will music, story sharing, Lakota food and an amazing Art Auction from 2:30pm-6:00pm followed by a drumming circle to end the event.
