In the mid-1970s, two Filipina nurses were convicted of poisoning patients in the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor. Both though were released from prison when the federal court judge issued a new trial, citing prosecutorial misconduct. Join us to view excerpts of That Strange Summer, a documentary on the investigation, trial and movement to free the nurses, followed by a discussion with the film's director Dr. Geri Zeldes.
