Virginia Kaye (Gransee) Hella

Virginia Kaye (Gransee) Hella, age 75, passed away on October 25, 2015, with her family by her side. She was born on May 25, 1940, the daughter of Kenneth K. and Eunice V. (Dennison) Gransee, in Hayfield, Minn. On July 9, 1960, she married the love of her life Roy Edward Hella of Marquette, Mich. They were married in Hayfield, Minn., and he survives.

Loved by her children, Ann (Bryon) Salters, Timothy, Andrew, Terrance, Corry and Heidi (Jeff) Rawlings; she will be missed by her grandchildren, Ty, Steven, Lindsay, Brandon, Caitlyn, Tabitha, Kendra, Braxton, Jacob, Virginia, Liam and Logan; great-grandchildren, her siblings; Howard, Earl, Katherine and many nieces and nephews.

One of her many achievements was at the age of 18, she was named 1958 Dodge County, Minnesota Dairy Princess. She enjoyed working at the Tecumseh High School as a teacher’s assistant for the Special Education Program where she impacted so many lives for over 20 years.

Virginia cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. She loved gardening, her creativeness showed through in her artwork, sewing, crafts and playing ball with her dog — Honey. She enjoyed traveling in the RV with her husband all across the United States to visit family and see the beautiful sites.

Virginia was a very caring wife, mom and grandma, and will be greatly missed. We love you mom!

Memorial Service for Virginia will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes at 1 p.m. with a memorial gathering from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
