THS girl bowlers move to 8-1 on season

On Monday, Feb. 3, the Tecumseh High School (THS) bowling teams traveled to Whitmore Lanes to bowl the Pirates of Pinckney. The Tribe came away with victories for each team. The THS varsity girls moved their season record to 8-1 with a 21-9 win. THS junior Liza Verrier pitched a strong 227 game. Tecumseh sophomore Abby Werden fired a 212 game to help secure the victory. The THS boys varsity moved their season record to 4-5 with their 27-3 victory over the Pirates. THS junior Brendan Stolaruk rolled a crushing 265 game to lead the Tribe to victory. Sophomore Tyson Tennyson rolled a 199 game. The THS JV girls won their match 23-7. Tecumseh junior Megan Warren led the girls with games of 160 and 173.

Last Friday the Indians bowling teams traveled to Maplewood Lanes, to bowl the Hornets of Saline. The lady Tribe defeated Saline, 28-2. THS senior Kaylee Pinter led the team with a strong 226 game. The boys didn’t fair too well against their Saline opponents. The Hornets earned a 26-4 win against Tribe in the SEC competition. Tecumseh junior Jack Burnett had two games of 214 and 213 to help the Tribe’s cause. THS junior Hunter Rapaich pitched a 213 game,  as well.
