Thomas Wetzler Wiseman Jr.

Thomas Wetzler Wiseman Jr., 78, died April 4, 2015, at Florida Hospital in Orlando after many years of medical battles.Tom was born in Lancaster, Ohio, May 4, 1936, son of the late Thomas and Carol Wiseman. He attended Lancaster Public Schools and Kenyon College, where he was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. He served in the United States Marine Corps in California. On May 3, 1975, he married Bridget Miller of Britton, and she survives.Tom’s career in retail included positions at Lazarus Department Store in Ohio; and as operations manager for I. Magnin, Bonwit Teller and Neiman Marcus, all in California. He, his wife Bridget and their two children moved to Florida in 1984, with Venice becoming their home until two years ago. Survivors include their twin children Megan (Tony) Arcuri of Orlando and their twins Frankie and Asher, and Casey Wiseman (Kristen Alexin) of Chattanooga, Tenn., and his children Hunter and Nicholas of Venice. He is also survived by four children from his first marriage; Eric (Teresa), Whitney (Bill) Curtis, Jennifer (Jon) Nixon, and Allison (Tom) Carter, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of California. His sister, Joyce Boatner, preceded him in death. Services were held June 26, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fla.
