Thomas Gerald Eversole

Thomas Gerald Eversole, age 77, of Manchester passed away on February 24, 2017 at the Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, Fla., following a brief battle with cancer.

Thomas was born August 24, 1939 in Ann Arbor to Phillip and Hattie (Knickerbocker). On December 6, 1958 he married Beverly Green in Manchester and she survives. Thomas worked at the Double A in Manchester and later the Ford Motor Company in Saline before retiring in 2000. He was an avid golfer and loved to repair motors and golf carts. He was considered a “jack of all trades” able to fix or make almost anything he attempted. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and has wintered in Florida for the past 18 years.

In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by his children, Bradley Eversole of Jackson, Brenda Britt of Clinton and Becky (Mike) Soubeyrand of Canton, his five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as two brothers, Dale and Ray Ebersole, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, daughter Kimberly, two brothers, Monroe and Lavern; sisters, Dorothy Thacker, Ruby Lowery, Betty Osborne, Ethel Nortley and Wilma Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
