Thanks supporters of food program for homeless students

To the Editor,

I would like to thank Lenawee County for the generous contributions to my collection for Feed the Homeless Students. We met our goal of 416 fast food gift cards with some left over for a couple of homeless families that Beth worries about. I can never thank everyone enough, as now these students will be eating during the school break for Christmas.

Living in Lenawee County for all but six years of my life, I never realized how giving and how blessed we are to have all these great folks. I even got $10 from a single mother and son who struggle to get by but wanted to help. People, we live in one of the best places in the world with so many big hearts! This mission I have been on for the past year to help these kids has changed my mind about living in small cities. They are the best and I would never want it any other way. Also, it has made me realize there is always someone who needs help and it is such a warm and fuzzy feeling like no other! You made this happen!

Thanks to: Danley’s County House, Mario’s Mexican Restaurant, Clinton Coney Island, Clinton BP, Clinton Shell, Salon Lucero, Tecumseh Jazzercise, Roberts Collision and Bad Hair Day for collecting for us; Little Caesars of Adrian for the $100 donation; Clinton Rotary Club for the $300 donation; Dr. Jan Rizzo for toothbrushes and toothpaste for 288 kits; and Eden Foods for snacks.

Once again, thank you Lenawee County! I could not have done this without you!

Love and Merry Christmas to all!
