Throughout Tecumseh, there are multiple things residents can do to ring in the New Year. Evans Street Station, Tecumseh Brewery, Ten Pin Bowling Alley and Embers Bar and Grill all have holiday events where patrons can toast the end of 2015 and welcome the beginning of 2016.

Tecumseh area residents can celebrate at Evans Street Station where guests can celebrate the coming of 2016 over a six-course meal, with alcoholic beverage options. Located at 110 S. Evans St., Evans Street Station hosts its New Year’s Eve party from 5 p.m. on December 31 to 1 a.m. on January 1. Reservations are available at 424.5555. Cost is $75 per person, with optional wine pairings at $37 and optional beer pairing at $26.

Beth Kennedy, co-owner at Evans Street Station, says the staff has put a lot of thought into creating a unique and inviting menu to welcome 2016. “We change the menu every year, and there are a lot of people who’ve made it a tradition because it’s such a special evening,” Kennedy said. “We invite people to dress up, but it’s entirely up to them.”

Tecumseh Brewery at 128 W. Chicago Blvd. is open until 2 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Kyle Dewitt, co-owner of the Brewery, says the restaurant is bringing back several of their best selling beers for the weekend, including the peanut butter stout. Also offered are holiday specials. “We will have a Christmas Ale made of ginger, cinnamon, allspice and graham cracker, and a Downtown Delight made from a mixture of multiple places in town,” Dewitt said. “It will feature coffee from the Daily Grind, peppermint from the British Tea Pantry, and Pappalo stone ground chocolate from The Boulevard Market.” Call 815.1726.

Ten Pin Bowling Alley at 5621 S. Occidental Hwy. has two separate parties on December 31. From 1 to 3 p.m., Ten Pin has a family-friendly party, where families can purchase pizza, pop, bowling shoes, and noisemakers, with a toast at 2 p.m. From 9 p.m. till 2 a.m. on New Year’s Day, the alley has an adult celebration with food, decorations, and a champagne toast at midnight. Call 423.8322.

Embers Bar and Grill at 1370 W. Chicago Blvd. hosts a New Year’s Party, beginning at 9 p.m. on December 31. “DJ Nights is coming, and we will have appetizers and a champagne toast at midnight, as well as a ride home from Tecumseh Trolley,” Alyson VanSickle, manager at Embers said. “There are limited spaces, and we’re only selling so many tickets.” Call 423.2601.

Tickets sell for $10 at the door. Guests can also buy two tickets for $17 in advance at the Embers location.
