Success of annual Art in the Park ‘gratifying,’ supporters thanked

To the Editor,

The Community Arts of Tecumseh (CAT) held its Fourth Annual Art in the Park art fair on Saturday and Sunday, June 4th and 5th. It was a hugely successful event, and the enthusiasm, community participation and high quality of the exhibiting artists were extremely gratifying to CAT!

We could not have made the event happen without the support of our fabulous sponsors.  They include: First Federal Bank, Floraworks, Busch’s, The Tecumseh Herald, Flower Depot/Dusseau Farms, Handler Funeral Home, Charles H. Gross Attorney at Law, The Hamblin Company, Cunningham Vision Center, Tecumseh Big Boy, Edward Jones – Mike Savoia, Companion Animal Clinic and Shannon Clark.

We appreciate the hard work of Diane Savoia, our Executive Director, and Kassie Gray, Assistant to the Executive Director, the Art in the Park Committee, the CAT Board members, CAT members, the Tecumseh Public School students, volunteers and community members.

We appreciate the collaboration with the Promenade Committee which contributed to making this year’s Art in the Park a great success!

Finally, we are grateful for the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs and the Arts Alliance for their support in awarding CAT a minigrant for the fair. The grant enabled us to provide essential marketing, promotional materials and staff support for the event. Not only did this contribute to the success of the event, but also helped to continue the mission of CAT; “To stimulate the creative spirit of our community.”
