Sarah L. Moros

Sarah “Sally” L. Moros, of Tecumseh, passed away on June 30, 2016, after a short illness.

She was born on November 9, 1942 in Tecumseh, the daughter of Kenton and Katherine Hunt. After graduating with the class of 1960 from Tecumseh High School, Sally went on to Siena Heights University where she studied toward a degree in Montessori education. After college she managed Don’s Contented Sole and worked at Don’s Beef Buffet in Tecumseh, where she met her husband, David Moros.

She had a very wide circle of friends and is well remembered for her jovial and infectious laugh. During the school years, the Hunt household was a gathering place for many neighborhood and school friends. Card games, prank phone calls, and pizza eating long into the night were the usual fare. Sally was also active during school in Girl Scouts Troop #7 and Rainbow for Girls, Tecumseh Chapter.

As of late, she was a member of the Herrick Hospital Auxiliary and Tecumseh American Legion Auxiliary Unit #34. Family and friends will certainly remember Sally for her generosity and kind spirit.
Sally is survived by her loving husband, David, her brother; Steven Hunt, brother-in-law’s; Francis and Phillip Moros, and their families.

Per Sally’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial luncheon for all friends and family will be held on Sunday, July 31 at noon at the American Legion Post #34 in Tecumseh. Donations in Sally’s honor may be made and sent to the American Legion Auxiliary, Tecumseh, MI 49286, Attn: June, for a memorial at Brookside Cemetery.
