Richard James Roost
Richard James Roost, age 84, of Clinton, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born October 2, 1932 in Frontier, Mich., the son of the late Bill and Doris (Russell) Roost. Mr. Roost retired from the Tecumseh Products after 43 years. He loved photography, archery, ice fishing, camping, golfing and was active in the Boy Scouts and several bowling leagues. He also helped with the Clinton Little League and was very active with the Clinton United Methodist Church.
Along with his wife he is survived by two sisters, Carol (Alfred) Goble of Montpelier, Ohio and Karen (Ken) Coy of Pioneer, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by two children, Richard James Roost and Rebecca Jane Vandecar.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at the Clinton United Methodist Church with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Clinton United Methodist Church.
