Richard Clinton Watters

Richard Clinton Watters, age 82, of Tecumseh went to be with his Savior on March 3, 2018, at Lenawee County Medical Care Facility surrounded by his family.

He was born in Morenci on October 5, 1935, to George and Hazel (Andrews) Watters. He was a graduate of Morenci High School. On July 16, 1955 in Adrian, Richard married, Mary Ann Baughey, the love of his life and his best friend, and she survives.  He worked for American Chain and Cable. He was the superintendent and music director of the Pilgrim Evangelistic Tabernacle for over 40 years. Later he attended the Adrian First Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, Richard is survived by three sons, Jeffrey (Lori) Watters of Riverview, Fla., Michael (Myrna) Watters of San Antonio, Texas, and Jonathan (Belinda) Watters of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Pamela (Dennis) Goble of Tecumseh and Teresa (Richard) Hoeft of Adrian; three brothers, Albert Watters, Paul (Phyllis) Watters, and George (Bonnie) Watters all of  Adrian; sister, Alberta Bradly of Waldron; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and William Watters; and five sisters, Dorothy Merillat, Pauline Shadel, Martha Schoonover, Helen and Estella Watters, both in infancy.

Visitation for Richard was held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 10-11 a.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Larry Betz officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
