Phyllis Pat Newbold

Phyllis Pat Newbold, 88, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on July 22, 2018 at Lynwood Manor in Adrian, Mich.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Hillsboro, Iowa. 

Pat was born in Columbus Junction, Iowa, to Stanley and Verlee Lantz on January 7, 1930. She was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the US Air Force for nine years and played the tuba in the WAF Band.  She was a lifetime member of the American Legion. She was a school bus driver for many years for the Harmony Community School District and also a custodian for the Hillsboro School. She was an avid bowler until she was 86 on a weekly league in Tecumseh. She also loved to create wooden banks. 

Pat is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Roland and DeWayne Lantz.  

Pat is survived by a son Jim (Denise) Newbold of Land O Lakes, Fla., step-daughter Jeri Newbold of Amboy, Wash., brother Daryl/Butch (Pat Ann) Lantz of Roy, Wash., granddaughter Jodi Millard of Fort Madison, Iowa, grandson Brian (Kim) Johnson of Marengo, Ill., five great grandchildren, and her best friend Mary Ann Murphy of Tecumseh, Mich. 

Pat will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
