Patricia “Patti” Shultis

Patricia “Patti” Shultis, age 68, died May 3, 2020, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 3, 1951 in Tecumseh to Charles and Ethel (Rohn) Aebersold. Patti graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1969. She attended Stautzenberger College earning a degree in business.

Patti retired from Tecumseh Products Data Processing Dept. in 2004. She was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings. One of her prize possessions was a photo of her and Steve Yzerman.

As a young girl Patti was a member of the North Franklin Hustlers 4-H club. She earned many awards in showing sheep, foods, vegetable gardening and clothing. One of her sewing projects was a dress that was chosen to go to the State Fair.

Patti spent the last 12 years in the care of her daughter, Tara, and her son-in-law, Ross Trumble. She always had a smile on her face and her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandson. She loved spending time with them.

Patti is survived by her parents Charles and Ethel Aebersold of Tecumseh; her daughter, Tara (Ross) Trumble of Brooklyn; son, Kevin Shultis of Tecumseh; seven grandchildren, Emily, Makala (fiancé Reid Couling), Holden, Kym, Paige, Lily and Jack Trumble; great-grandson Bentley Couling; sister Cheryl Aebersold of Adrian; brother Carl (Carol) Aebersold; niece Sarah Aebersold of California; and also many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Scott Shultis and former husband Gerald Shultis.
There will be a celebration of Patti’s life at a later date.
