Pamela Jean Starr

Pamela Jean Starr, 56, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., died suddenly on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015. Born on December 19, 1958, she was the oldest of three daughters born to Jack and Kathleen (Fowler) Starr. Pam spent most of her life in Tecumseh. She graduated from THS in 1977 and held various jobs after high school before moving out of the area.Pam is survived by two daughters, Angela (Joe) Cross of Adrian and Carla Monk still at home, four grandchildren, Hannah, Seth, and Kathleen Cross and Zechariah Monk. She is also survived by two sisters, Penny Starr of Canton, Mich., and Yvonne (Mike) Torres of Murfreesboro, seven nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and grandparents.Pam was a very compassionate and giving person. She gave to the less fortunate even when she didn’t have it to spare. In her final act of giving, she gave the gift of life to three others through organ donations.Cremation has taken place with a memorial service planned for early summer in Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to the Catherine Cobb Shelter for Women or St Jude Children’s Hospital in Pam’s memory.
