Orlowski family sends thank you for support since loss of son

To the Editor,The amount of support, prayers, and love we have received from this community in the past two and a half months has been incredible. We will never have the words to fully express how grateful we are to our family, friends, neighbors, Churches, and of course the Tecumseh area for everything they’ve done for us. The food donated, time freely given, and donations made to Curt’s Scholarship Fund have been inspiring. Tecumseh is truly a community unlike any other. People have helped continuously and without hesitation. The entire community has come together, and we definitely feel it. The sheer number of people who came to Curt’s services and funeral, the thought and effort put into the Lantern Vigil, and the amazing turn out for the Gonzalez/Orlowski 5K and Softball Tournament has meant so much to us. Each time we have been blown away by the kindness and compassion of the huge crowds that came out to support us and remember the boys.To this day we are receiving messages of support, love, and prayers. We love hearing stories we didn’t know and seeing picture we haven’t seen, lovingly shared by people who also knew and loved Curt. He made such an impact in the short time he was here, and that’s beautiful to see. He had so much life left to live, and he was living it to the fullest. Curt is known for his warm smile and kindness, so please, pay it forward. Whatever Curt was to you, be that for someone else. Be kind, help the less fortunate, and smile even when you’re going through tough times. Curt was an amazing young man, and he will continue to be with us. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done and everything you continue to do. Words will never be enough thanks, but know you are all in our hearts and prayers as we are in yours.
