Norman John Campbell

Norman John Campbell, age 83, died peacefully at his home on February 2, 2017, with family by his side.

He was born on April 1, 1933 in Clinton, Mich., the son of the late James and Pearl (Whiting) Campbell. On May 9, 1953, he was united in marriage to Shirley Mae Smith and she survives.

Norman was a member of the National Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club. Also, a member of the Clinton Historical Society. He enjoyed photography and loved taking pictures of his family and nature. He was a loyal Clinton High School football fan. Norman was a kind, loving father and a very proud grandpa.

Norman is survived by his wife, Shirley, his daughters, Elizabeth (Mark) Dreyer of Chelsea, Mich., Eleanor Campbell of Clinton, Mich., Margaret (William Barr) Campbell of Ann Arbor and Mary Jacques of Clinton, Mich.; his grandchildren, Eleanor, Sarah, Stephen, Joseph, Dorothy and Jesse; great-grandchildren, Liam, Kori and Kolson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Norman Robert Campbell in 1988, his sister, Eleanor Pardee and his brother, James Chalmers Campbell, Jr.

Funeral service for Norman was held February 7, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. The burial was at Riverside Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post No. 176.
