Mead gives guiding principles for elected township officials

To the Editor and Raisin Township residents,

Thank you for your strong support at the polls on August 2.

The results were more than I had ever expected at this stage.

My personal guiding principles for elected township officials include the following:

     Elected Township Officials should:

    • Represent all township residents equally

    • Openly establish township priorities

    • Demonstrate good stewardship of township monies

    • Be accountable for their actions

    • Encourage resident participation and feedback in township matters before making decisions

    • Adopt procedures and regulations that protect the health, safety and welfare of township residents

Through your continued support in the November general election we can influence positive change and establish higher expectations for future township boards.

Russell Mead
