Marilyn June Escott

Marilyn June Escott, age 83, of Tecumseh died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Lenawee Medical Care Facility with her family by her side. She was born May 11, 1936 in Prattville, Mich., the daughter of the late Maurice Leroy and Maurine E. (Wagner) McOscar. On November 24, 1956, she married John Escott and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1991.

Marilyn had been involved in 4-H for many years and was a former member of the Moose. Her greatest love was her grandchildren, they were her life and she treasured the time memories made with them.

Marilyn is survived by three daughters, Penny (Thomas) Petipren, Lori Shelle, and Cherie Scheuerman; two sons, Steven (Andrea) Escott and Jeffrey (Dawn) Escott; two brothers, Donald (Camilla) McOscar and Robert (Beverly) McOscar; sister-in-law, Faye McOscar; brother-in-law, Charles Escott; 13 grandchildren, Nicole, Angela, Elizabeth, Tanner, Kristin, Tara, Tyler, Jacob, Jane, Evan, Brandi, Matthew and Meghan; and 12 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William McOscar and a grandson, Matthew Howell.

In accordance with Marilyn’s wishes cremation has taken place, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or Lenawee Medical Care Facility.
