Lynn “Perl” Sebring

Lynn “Perl” Sebring, age 64, of Tecumseh died Monday, Aug. 19, 2019 at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor. He was born May 19, 1955 in Tecumseh, the son of the late Claude and Ardith (Baily) Sebring. On June 10, 1995 he married Kathy Cubberly and she preceded him in death on December 23, 2013.

Perl proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Wacker Chemical. He attended the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh and was a member of AA. Perl enjoyed baking cookies and was affectionately known as the “Cookie Man.”

Perl is survived by his brother, David (Maureen) Sebring of Farmington Hills; nieces and nephews, Tony Sebring, Scott (Julie) Crawford and Bob Crawford, Terri (William) Sebring, Alexandra (Mark) Scott, and Jennifer (Joshua) Williams; cousins, Mike (Vicki) Murphy, Joe (Lisa) Murphy, Nena (Bill) Viers, Marta (Kevin) Puffer Sonnichsen and Denny Puffer; and good friend, Tim Spicer. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Stover, a brother, Larry Sebring and a brother-in-law, Gerry Stover.

Visitation for Perl will be on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 from noon-2 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Alan Maki officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Brookside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee County Humane Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
