Judith Ann (Kempf) Pilbeam

Judith Ann (Kempf) Pilbeam, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Toledo Hospital. She was born June 14, 1939 in Tecumseh, Mich. to Raymond C. and Betty (Rhodes) Kempf.  She married Dean Ronald Pilbeam January 12, 1963 and was blessed to have a son Jeffrey Dean (Cathy) Pilbeam.  She has two granddaughters, Wynter K. Kniffen and Catherine A. Pilbeam and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Hunter Kniffen.  She is survived by two sisters, Joan M. Siefert of California and Bonnie (David) Hagewood of Lake Orion, Mich., two nieces, two nephews, four great-nephews and two great nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ron Siefert.  She worked at Herrick Memorial Hospital for 42 years and retired in 2000.  She loved planting and caring for her flowers and enjoyed doing ceramics, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.  

A funeral service for Judith will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes at 1 p.m. with Rev. Cathi King officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home and an hour before the service on Saturday. Burial will follow in Macon Cemetery.
