Jose “Joe” A. Castorena
Jose “Joe” A. Castorena, age 57, of Tecumseh, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side on October 5, 2016. Joe fought more than a yearlong battle against pancreatic cancer. Born on September 21, 1959 in Ann Arbor, Mich., the son of Jose and Angela (Rodriquez) Castorena.
He was a proud and loyal, third generation employee at Tecumseh Products Company for 38 years. Joe enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, watching Michigan football and he loved to dance. Joe will be forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Joe is survived by: his father, Jose Castorena; his beloved children, Jeremy (Kate) Castorena, Jarred (Joy) Castorena, Jacob Castorena and Haley Castorena, all of Tecumseh; his six loving grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lyla, Orin, Graham, Austin and Wren; his three siblings, the mother of his children, Carrie Castorena, and many dear friends.
At Joe’s request, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Gathering for Joe will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
