John Phillip Surratt
Phil was born in Elwood, Ind., and grew up in Tecumseh. Then he enrolled in the University of Michigan in the mid ‘50s.
He is survived by his wife, Ann, and his children, Nancy Townsend, Susan Carpenter, and Andrew Surratt; his grandchildren Caitlin, Ellie, Timo, Joris and Marin; and his sister, Ann (Michael) Osburn and brother George Surratt.
Phil was preceded in death by beloved son-in-law Medray H. Carpenter, II.
A gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Legacy Land Conservancy (http://legacylandconservancy.org) or Dawn Farms (http://www.dawnfarm.org/) or charity of your choice.
