Jim “Harv” Harvey

Jim “Harv” Harvey, age 67, of Tecumseh, passed away February 2, 2018.

Jim was born December 31, 1950 in El Dorado Springs, Miss., the son of Eldon and Mary (McMullen)

Harvey.   On July 10, 1970 he married Patricia Krzyzaniak in Tecumseh and she survives.

By the time you read this I will be gone due to my returning cancer.

As my daughter posts this for me, I had an absolute wonderful life:

Married to Patty, the woman of my dreams for 47 years; two great daughters, Jill and Leah; a fantastic son-in-law, Scott; and two grandchildren, T.J. and Jili, that I will have to watch grow from the Heavens sitting next to Jesus as I brag to him about them.

My 67 years on this Earth were full of laughs and fun with my family, my many friends and co-workers at Ypsilanti Ford Motor Co., and later at Herrick Park Elementary in 2012 where I met and made friends with every person and student in the school. I will love and miss each and every one of you.

I will always love and miss the good times, friends and relatives back in Missouri, but, of course, all my Michigan families: The Harveys, Koeppes, Krzyzaniaks, Piercys, Rudisills and Team Naughty Dawg. Stay Positive. Tell your spouse, kids, and grandkids and friends “that you Love them” every time you see them.

Lastly, on Saturdays, please raise your glass and say “GO BLUE HARV” and the same on Sundays watching my Lions. I told my doctor that I wanted to live long enough to see the Lions win the Super Bowl… and he said, “Jim, none of us will live that long.” I will Love and miss you all.

In addition to his wife, Patty, he is survived by his daughters, Jill (Scott) Koeppe and Leah Harvey; grandchildren, Thomas “TJ” Koeppe and Jiliang “Jili” Koeppe; sister Sharon Craddick; brother, Kevin Rudisill and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Clarence Rudisill and brother, Wayne.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh, with Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Memorials may be made to the Tecumseh Service Club. Condolences to the family may be made at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
