Jerry Ivan

Jerry Ivan, age 93, of Clinton died Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Saline Evangelical Home surrounded by his family. He was born January 15, 1925 in Trenton, the son of the late Tony and Jenofefa (Tomecek) Ivan. On December 29, 1947 in Milan he married Mildred Korican and they were blessed with 70 years of marriage.

Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1980 after 35 years. Jerry was a member of the Clinton Baptist Church and the Gladwin American Legion.

In addition to his loving wife, Mildred, he is survived by his children, Nancy (Ron) Olson of Ypsilanti and Gary (Barb) Ivan of Tecumseh; eight grandchildren, Tammy, Kristina, Angela, Lisa, Sam, James, Stephanie and Amber; and seven great-grandchildren, Nikki, Tom, Ashley, Troy, Lucas, Meghan, and Mikey; and one great-great-grandson, Christopher.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tony and Frank Ivan and sister, Helen Korican.

In accordance to his wishes cremation has taken place.  Burial will be in Marble Park in Milan at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
