Jane Ann (Powers) Posey

Jane Ann (Powers) Posey, age 60, went to be with The Lord after a courageous battle with cancer, Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility under the gentle care of Hospice of Lenawee.She was born April 23, 1954, in Adrian to Wesley and Donna (Baughey) Powers Sr., and attended Adrian High School.Jane shared her love of people through her work in food service at several area restaurants, Adrian Public Schools and most recently MIS, where she catered. She enjoyed organizing parties for family and friends and was very involved in Relay for Life. She is survived by her children, Brian and Amy Posey, both of Adrian; grandson, Brian Posey II; and her brothers, Larry Powers of Toledo, Wesley (Theresa) Powers of Tecumseh, and Jerry Powers, John Thompson and Mark Powers, all of Adrian; and many extended family members.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Denise and Carol Powers.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2015, at Wagley Funeral Home with Dr. Rodney Lindsay and Rev. Ryan Watters officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian. Visitation was at the funeral home Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Monday, from 10 a.m. until the service.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Wagley Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
