James Milton Shaffer

James Milton Shaffer, age 74, of Clinton, passed away December 8, 2015.

James was born September 25, 1941 in Brookville, Pa., the son of Kenneth and Frances (Burkhouse) Shaffer. On  October 13, 1962 he married Joyce Anne Sigworth and she survives. 

In addition to his wife, Joyce; he is survived by his brother, Wayne (Linda) Shaffer; and his legacy is carried on by his children, Vaughn (Charlie) Shaffer, Kimberley (Joe) Shaffer-Kress and Troy (Lee-Anne) Concheiro-Shaffer; grandchildren, Kyle and Derek Burmis and Devon, Darrian and Brooklyn Shaffer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Julie.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Bob Riddle  officiating. 

Burial followed in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. before the service on Saturday. 

A Masonic Memorial Service was performed by the Clinton Lodge at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening.
