Irene Jacobs
On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2019, Irene Jacobs of Green Valley, Arizona, formerly of Tecumseh, left her worldly cares behind. At 94, Irene had lived a full life, graduating from Ohio State University and then meeting and marrying Dale.
After moving to Tecumseh, she served several decades as administrative assistant at Tecumseh High School. If one asks what made the high school run smoothly in those years, the answer would be “Irene.”
She and Dale retired to Burt Lake and eventually to Green Valley.
Irene was a dedicated worker. If you needed to know something about the school, “ask Irene.” Irene will always be remembered by the alumni of THS for her cheerful and helpful personality. She was a gem for those who worked with her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale in March of 2009, and her sister Millie in November of 2014.
