Indians' bowling teams sweep Maples, Ypsilanti
Tecumseh’s varsity bowling teams swept visiting Ypsilanti on Monday with the girls winning 30-0 and the boys winning 26-4.Tecumseh’s girls had baker games of 169-167 to Ypsilanti’s 70-91. The Indians posted individual totals of 930-878 to Ypsilanti’s 505-407.Kendall Herron led the Indians with games of 213 and 213.Kayla Wild had high games of 199 and 197 for Tecumseh while teammate Whitney Hite had a 192.Tecumseh’s boys were led by Devin Hopkins with high games of 199 and 199; Alex Mukensturm with a 212 game and Jarrett Oldeck with a 225.Both the girls and boys teams defeated Adrian on Wednesday, Jan. 21. Tecumseh’s girls revenged an earlier season loss to the Maples with a 26-4 victory. Tecumseh’s boys beat Adrian 21-9.Tecumseh’s girls lost the first baker game (167-177) but won the second (160-136) for a 6-4 lead. The Indians also won individual games, outscoring Adrian 988-805 and 979-828. Courtney Herron (234-190) and Brianna Wiemer (233-198) led the Indians.Hite (207-193), Taylor Cook (204-182) and Kendall Herron (181) also contributed.Tecumseh’s boys were led by Jarrett Oldeck (242) and Charlie Downey (202).
