Ida “Gale” Murdock

Ida “Gale” Murdock, age 68, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017, peacefully surrounded by her family at home. She was born on September 21, 1948 in Tecumseh to the late Sherry Morgan and Lillie Robena (Wilson) Murdock. Gale graduated from Tecumseh High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University. She spent most of her working life with Tecumseh Products and retired in 2001, and then began work as a Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones and retired from there in 2016. Gale was a big supporter of the Lenawee Co. Humane Society, Disabled American Veterans and the Hickman Cancer Center. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends and especially her fur babies.

Gale is survived by a sister, Sherry Lee Whitney of Tecumseh; a niece, Ronda Kay (Brian) Wisneski of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a great-niece, Melissa Lauren Wisneski of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a great-nephew, Nick (Ashley) Wisneski of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; two great-great-nieces, Kenley and Reagan Wisneski of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; a step-sister, Yvonne (David) Bigelow of Britton, Mich.; close friends, April and Richard Lienau of Clayton, Mich.; Mariah Lienau (her adopted niece) of Clayton, Mich., and Doug and Deb Taylor of Brooklyn, Mich.; and also her fur babies, Mija, Bella and Ginger.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew, James Lee Campbell.

Funeral services for Gale will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and also from 12 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lenawee Co. Humane Society.
