Herman Matthew Schmidt Jr.
Herman Matthew Schmidt Jr., age 77, of Tecumseh, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at Hospice of Lenawee. He was born April 9, 1939 in Tecumseh, Mich., a son of the late Herman Matthew and Alma Alice (Starkey) Schmidt.
Mr. Schmidt is survived by three sons; Brian Schmidt of Adrian, Mich., Joseph Schmidt of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mark Schmidt of San Marcos, Texas; eight brothers; one sister; and eight grandchildren, Danne, Sean, Alyssa, Krista, Matthew, Jacob, Erin and Vivian.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ilene Schmidt, and a son, Kenneth Schmidt.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Tecumseh, Mich., at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Herman Schmidt Memorial Account, C/O TLC Comm. Credit Union account No. 1243960-06.
