Gurine M. Smith
Gurine May Smith, age 68, of Clinton, passed away November 29, 2019. Gurine was born in Tecumseh, Mich., the daughter of Hugh and Thelma (Chapin) Schulze. On July 11, 1970 she married Larry Smith in Tecumseh and he survives. She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School.
Gurine was a longtime employee of Faraday and later worked for Saline Lectronics. Her favorite pastime was gardening.
In addition to her husband, Larry, Gurine is survived by her children, Daniell Smith, Eric Smith and Nathan (Danny Stevens) Smith; brothers, Dean (Candy) Schulze, William (Laurie) Schulze and David Schulze; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sally Schulze and brother, John Schulze.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Lynn Finkbeiner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Condolences to the family may be made online at pursefuneralhome.com.
