Gail Wilson

Gail Wilson, 71, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Gail was born on May 16, 1944 to Hayward and Florence Barber in Ypsilanti, Mich. She attended Milan High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in teaching from Eastern Michigan University. She married Bernard Wilson on July 13, 1968. Gail and Bernie were the proud parents of Tim and Amy (Pfister) as well as four grandchildren. Gail retired from the Lenawee Intermediate School District where she was a special education teacher. Gail was active in the churches she attended and taught Sunday school, led the children’s choir, assisted with dinners, and later delivered Meals on Wheels. She was also an active volunteer in schools and enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, playing games, travel and church activities.

Gail will be remembered for her love of spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Gail is survived by her husband, Bernard; her son, Tim (Kathy); daughter, Amy (Mark); grandchildren, Grant, Matthew, Sarah and Daniel; and her brother, Alfred Barber.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Ann Chriscinske.

Memorial service for Gail will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 12 p.m. at the Tecumseh United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Lenawee.
