Former THS principal would not have allowed students to protest

To the Editor,

I was startled to read that Tecumseh High School students were permitted to “protest” what appears to be a school administration decision to terminate two coaches from their jobs.

Who is in charge at the school? When I attended THS, if a student had tried that crap, he/she would be in Principal Neville Hart’s office so fast that their head would still be spinning, and before the sun set that day, they, in all probability, would have been suspended or in extreme cases, expelled.

Obviously times have changed and it appears that we are in a period where students believe they are in charge of school administration. Who knows, maybe they are.
