Elizabeth Donivan

Elizabeth Donivan, age 97, of Adrian, died on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home. She was born August 11, 1918, in Toledo, Ohio to Louis and Elizabeth (Papp) Kovach. She had been employed by the Dearborn Public High School as a teacher and counselor. 

Elizabeth was an avid reader, enjoyed working crossword puzzles daily, and baking cookies and many specialties for her family. Her love for family and friends was motivated by her caring and generous spirit.

Elizabeth is survived by a sister, Margaret Brown; four nephews, Jack (Pamela) Brown, Jim (Janet) Brown, Jeff (Betsy) Brown, and Michael (Jeanette) Kasnia; a foster daughter, Pat (Ron) DeCarlo; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gizella Kasnia; and a nephew Louis Kasnia.

Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Anderson Funeral Home with her nephew, Rev. Jack Brown officiating. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.  Visitation will also be held at the Anderson Funeral Home on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m., to be followed by the service.
