Douglas R. Losey, “Doug”
Douglas R. Losey, “Doug”, 73, passed on October 19, 2018 after a long battle with dementia. Doug was a resident of Tecumseh, Mich. for many years before retiring to South Lyon, Mich.
Doug was born to Ernest Losey and Margaret Losey in 1945, in Detroit, Mich. He graduated from New Haven High School in 1963
where he met and married Michele Losey.
Doug is survived by his wife, Michele, and their two children, Matthew Losey of South Lyon, Mich. and Michael Losey of Saline, Mich. Their son Steven Losey of Coldwater, Mich. preceded Doug in death in 2015. Besides his children, Doug leaves a legacy of many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Doug was the plant manager of Crescive Die & Tool in Saline for 15
years where he then left to become vice president of several automotive stamping companies before his retirement in 2014.
His family and friends remember Doug as a kind and generous soul
who loved his children and grandchildren. Doug was most happy on
a sunny day on the golf course.
The family will be celebrating Doug’s life in a private family
memorial gathering. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice at greatlakescaring-hospicefoundation.org
