Dorothy Mae Pieh

Dorothy Mae Pieh, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2016 at Cambrian Assisted Living with her family at her side. She was born January 1, 1930 in Adrian, Mich., the daughter of Orville and Zulah (Slayton) Lehr. Dorothy married Kenneth Pieh on July 17, 1948 in Deerfield, Mich., and together they shared 51 loving years before his death in 1999.

Dorothy was a devoted wife and dedicated mother who enjoyed staying home with her family.

She loved time spent on family vacations and took pride in all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Kenneth (Susan) Pieh Jr. of Tecumseh, Judy (Larry) Ross of Adrian and Sharon Pieh of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chuck) Davis, Sara Edwards, Anthony (Jenna) Pieh and Andrea (Jason) Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Monica and Isaac Acuna, Kendrick, Everett and Calla Hobbs and Isla Pieh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Kenneth; her sister, Betty Brunt; brothers, Jack Lehr and Claude Lehr; and a niece, Cheryl Brunt Powers.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes with Pastor John Kottke officiating. Burial took place at Brookside Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Stephen’s Minsters for serving the luncheon.
