Donald Rushlow

Donald Rushlow, age 86, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at his home with his family by his side. He was born March 13, 1929 in Wyandotte, Mich., to the late Edward and Ida (Pelletier) Rushlow. He married Mary Parish in 1951 and they shared 64 years together.Donald worked as a Foreman for Chrysler Trenton Engine Plant retiring in 1989. Before working there, he also worked for Wyandotte Chemicals and was a barber. Donald enjoyed drawing, bowling, camping and spending time with family at Goose Lake in Jackson. He was a member of the American Legion Post 217 in Wyandotte, Mich. Donald is survived by his wife, Mary, a daughter, Carrie (Trent) Langton of Tecumseh; a son, Stephen (Vickie) Rushlow of Saline; a brother, Edward Rushlow of Southgate; a sister, Theresa (Marco) Talouto of Wyandotte, three grandchildren, Nicole, Aron (Amanda) Rushlow and Ethan Langton; two great-grandchildren, Alivia and Carter; brother-in-laws, Lester (Sandy) Parish of Athens, Ala., Theodore Parish Sr. and Howard (Kathy) Parish, Sr. both of Wyandotte, Mich. He is preceded in death by his parents.Visitation for Donald will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Clinton United Methodist Church with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.Interment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Mich., with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
