Donald Calvin Withrow

Donald Calvin Withrow, age 87, of Tecumseh died Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Tecumseh Place.  He was born on August 10, 1932 in Bridgewater Township, the son of the late Calvin and Edna (Tirb) Kuebler. On April 16, 1955 in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church he married Dorothy Ann Wonderly and they have shared over 64 years together.

Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 in the Armored Tank Division, stationed in Germany and Austria. He retired from the Tecumseh Products Company.  Donald was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tecumseh, Tecumseh American Legion, and life member of the Tecumseh VFW. He was formerly a member of the Raisin Twp. Board and the Conservation League on Sutton Road, where he taught hunter safety.  He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball as well. Donald loved hunting, being on a tractor, bowling, golf and watching westerns. If someone wanted a garden put in, Donald loved helping them out and giving advice on how to get the perfect one going. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them many important things about life.

Besides his wife, Dorothy, Donald is survived by his children, Mark Withrow of Tipton and Margaret Langowski of Tecumseh; three brothers, Eugene Withrow of Adrian, Arnold Withrow of Garden Valley, Idaho and Fred (Barb) Withrow of Tipton; two sisters, Beulah (Pete) Dermyer of Tecumseh and RoseAnn (Richard) Herriman of Palmetto, Fla.; four grandchildren, Courtney Dauber of Kalamazoo, Brad Dauber of Grand Rapids, Megan Langowski of Ypsilanti and Matthew Langowski of Tecumseh; two great grandchildren, Ezra and Isla Dauber of Grand Rapids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adoptive father, Harry Withrow, two children, Linda Dauber and Brad Withrow, siblings, Vernita Kopke, Jack Withrow, Harry Withrow II, and Helen Withrow.

A memorial service for Donald will be held at a later date.Inurnment will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh, also at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and Hospice of Lenawee. Online condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
