Dolores “Dolly” Mason

Dolores “Dolly” Mason, age 87, formerly of Tecumseh passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Brecon Village in Saline surrounded by her family. She was born January 15, 1931 in Coldwater, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry and Veronica (Robbins) Eckstein. She married Leonard M. Mason on October 2, 1965, and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2014.

Dolly loved playing cards, reading and her animals. Her family meant everything to her.  She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Dolly is survived by her children Judy (Tom) Huber of Manchester, Kathy (Mike) Funchion of Prince Frederick, Md., Lance (Catherine) Hillebrand of Mountain Home, Ark., and Gerry (Gerry) Jansen of Marshall; grandchildren Geof (Cheryl) Oliver, Rick (Adrienne) Funchion, Misty Hillebrand, Reid (Amy) Oliver, Jerry Funchion, Darren (Trisha) Jansen, Rachel (Shawn) Dougherty; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Leonard, she was preceded in death by a son in law Mike Funchion.

Graveside services for Dolly will be held at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery in Petersburg, Mich.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Lenawee County Humane Society. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
