Dillard Lee Atkinson
Dillard Lee Atkinson, age 76, of Adrian, Mich., formerly of Tecumseh, passed away July 10, 2016. He was born October 7, 1939, in Ironton, Ohio, the son of Dillard Luther and Edna Mae (Ackerson) Atkinson. Dillard worked as a tax preparer during his lifetime where he made many friends who he enjoyed helping as clients.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Howard Atkinson and Raymond Atkinson and his great nieces, Cheyanne and Denniss.
Dillard is survived by two brothers, Ralph (Betty) Atkinson of Zanesville, Ohio and William (Elvie) Atkinson of Britton, Mich.; many nieces and nephews and a dear friend.
Memorial Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, Mich., with Franklin Gunn, Care Pastor, officiating. Visitation will also be on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will also follow the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Provincial House for their excellent care during Dillard’s stay there and the many friends he made who he considered as a second family.
