David Alfred Kruger

David Alfred Kruger, age 63, of Tecumseh, passed away on August 18, 2017, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Lenawee.  He was born on April 7, 1954, in Tecumseh to Lewis and Eleanor (Reau) Kruger. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1972. David was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed farming, working on cars, growing Christmas trees on his family plantation, watching John Wayne movies and Gunsmoke reruns, but most of all, he loved spending time with his daughter and granddaughters.

David is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kruger of Tecumseh; three sisters, Donna Kruger, Mary (David) Radant, and Wanda Kruger all of Tecumseh; two granddaughters, Emily-Rose and Allison Kruger of Tecumseh; step-son, Mike Lolley of Tecumseh, and step-daughter Michelle Rutherford of Manchester. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bernard Kruger; and beloved pet, Little Jake.

A funeral liturgy was held at 11 a.m. on August 22, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh, with Father Jeffrey Poll as celebrant. Visitation was held on Monday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Church and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements were handled by Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
