Cory J. Brooks

Cory J. Brooks, age 28, of Raisin Township passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018. He was born August 16, 1989 in Tecumseh, the son of Joe and Gloria (Fosbender) Brooks.

Cory was a 2007 graduate of Tecumseh High School. He was currently employed with Hyder Electric as an apprentice electrician. He was an avid sports fan, loving his Michigan Wolverines and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and canoe trips with his father and nephew. Cory loved animals and will be missed by Embers and Henna, our fur babies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and rarely met a stranger.

He is survived by his parents, Joe and Gloria; one brother Ben (Jessica) Bailey of Blissfield; a sister, Bailey Brooks of S. Lake Tahoe, CA; his grandparents, Herbie and Coleen Brooks of Adrian; special friend, Rachel and her son, Noah; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins; and many true friends he cared deeply for – we can’t name you all, but you know who you are and we thank you. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Conrad and Janet Fosbender.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Cory will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 4:15 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Linda Farley officiating. At the family’s request, wear maize and blue. GO BLUE!
