Constance Jane Beatty

Constance Jane Beatty, age 85, of Tecumseh, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born July 15, 1933, in Bellows Falls, VT, the daughter of the late Henry Wade and Isobel (MacLea) MacCartney.  On April 3, 1954, in Bellows Falls, VT, she married Alan E. Beatty and they have shared 65 years together.

Connie was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.  She had many loves in her life, including her dog Emma, nature, watching the birds, theatre, music, letter writing and her beloved New England.

Connie is survived by her husband Alan; sons Lorne (Tricia) Beatty of Brighton and Gary Scott (Carol) Beatty of Muskegon; daughter Heather (Jeff) Harris of Clinton; grandchildren Miles (Jenni) Hardcastle, Joel Hardcastle, Elise Hardcastle, Jakob Harris, Austin Harris, Lisa (Tom) Mullins, Mike Percy and Maleah (Scott Rakestraw) Beatty and three great grandchildren Darby Hardcastle and James and Sophia Mullins.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Russell (Jean) MacCartney and a sister Barbara (Bill) Duval.

Visitation for Connie will be from 1 – 3 p.m. on Monday, April 15, at Clinton United Methodist Church.  The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Robert Blanchard and Rev. Bill Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton United Methodist Church.  Condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
